Maternity Reflexology

Maternity Reflexology

Maternity Reflexology Support in Pregnancy is not often covered in most reflexology courses, and in the main when it is covered it is done very swiftly.

This course will give you the knowledge and confidence to deliver a treatment to a pregnant client in any of the four semesters.  Like any holistic or clinical treatment, you conduct you must ensure that your client is able to have this treatment and gain consent from a GP or midwife.

You must ensure that no harm comes to your client or their unborn baby.  It is vital that you understand the contraindications and areas that you can work throughout the pregnancy. This course will enable you to be able to discuss contraindications with your client and to assess exactly where you can support their pregnancy with Maternity Reflexology treatments.

In Maternity Reflexology Support in Pregnancy you will cover the changes the body will go through during pregnancy and how reflexology can help, you will work alongside your highly qualified and experienced tutor to look at the variety of reflex and acupressure points that will help your client.

Quite often the pregnancy goes past the 40 weeks, and many up to and past 42.  Maternity Reflexology can help with inductions.  Which reflexes will stimulate hormones needed to help with contractions? Which will then help the body and give the baby energy?  Learning how to help the induction process is quite a responsibility.  This course is thorough.

You will then cover the different ways in which you can support post-natal too, our bodies can take years to recover.  So again we can support this with Maternity Reflexology.
