Holistic Beauty Facials
This one day accredited diploma course is an excellent foundation for our other beauty courses. Facials are an essential skill for any beauty therapist, and are not only very relaxing but also extremely beneficial in maintaining the health and appearance of the skin. Most skincare suppliers will require a diploma in facial treatments before they will supply you with their products. During this course you will learn how to provide a hygienic and deep-cleansing, relaxing anti ageing facial treatment for all skin types.
You will learn about the health and safety issues relating to providing this relaxing and revitalising treatment; understand the equipment and products used, learn how to prepare your room and settle your client. Your tutor will teach you how to take your client through a thorough consultation process looking for contraindications. The practical side will demonstrate how to cleanse tone and moisturise, how to exfoliate, and how to make and apply face masks and give a relaxing facial massage. You will also cover the anatomy and physiology of the face and skin.
Course content:
Full practical demonstration and guidance throughout the day, learn the application or cleanser, exfoliator, hot towels as a steaming aid, mask, toner and moisturiser. Deliver a massage to the neck and shoulders, and also thoroughly massage the face.
